No races in 2008

We will not participate in races in this year's season on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Unfortunately we were not successful in forming a driver team for our foreseen new Gallardo race car. However our first driver Stephan Rösler will drive some races on the second Lamborghini Gallardo of the team Reader Motorsport.

Season finish: First in class SP 8
We were satisfied with our starting position 48 in line 24, with a time of 9:20min, primarily there were a lot of traffic and "yellow flags". Alf drove a perfect first stint and was positioned on place 28 after six laps, with a best lap of 9:16 min. After that Stephan gain ground to position 23, with an excellent time of 9:07 min. During the third stint, driven by Alf, a "take-off" happened without any fault by the driver. Alf had a lot of luck not to overturn. Nevertheless the tires had to be changed at the box and we relapse to 30th position.
At the end we achieved place 29 in over all classification and an excellent victory in class SP 8. Absolutely worth mentioning are the new AVON tires which reduced our lap times up to 15 seconds in comparison to last race. This new development was made available to us especially for this race.
We wish everyone of you a beautiful "VLN-free" period and will keep you informed about news of our team and car.

39th ADAC-Barbarossa-Award

This forthcoming weekend Lambo-Racing will start at 39th ADAC-Barbarossa-Award. Marc Bronzel will share the cockpit with Stephan. Our Gallardo does not have the four-wheels drive for the first time, as trial for the new season. As we have no traction control, we are looking forward for dry weather. Keep your fingers crossed!

6h ADAC Ruhr-Cup Race

We are very sorry to inform you that we had to cancel our participation at 6h ADAC Ruhr-Cup Race this weekend. Our second driver, Alf Backer, failed due to illness. We wish him all the best and get well soon!

Lambo-Racing Team repeated success of 2006
The 37th starting position due to a ABS defect problems did not satisfy us. Because of a – thanks god, only a small – gear box problem in the pre-lap we had to start from the pit lane and to queue at the end of the first starting group. At 23:30 we dropped back about ten positions due to a tire damage. The cause for this was a part we picked up lying on the circuit. Half a round we had to drag ourselves through the circuit with this damaged tire. After a racing distance of 16 hours we were ranked on promising 16th position with potential forward, because the teams placed better than us had inferior lap-times. In our class SP8 we were positioned at this time on the second place behind the Dodge Viper and had a lead of three rounds over the team on third position. Then we unfortunately got again problems with our gear box electronic, which we could not solve despite several attempts. The last 1 ½ hours we only drove in the fourth gear. So we end up on 42nd over-all position. In our class SP8 we could maintain the second place due to the lead we had.
We are happy and proud that we finished the 24h-race the second time in series with our Lamborghini Gallardo.
